Job Posting: Trenton Devils Public Relations Internship

The Trenton Devils, an ECHL team, recently announced an opening for a public relations internship for this upcoming summer. While you may think interning during the offseason wouldn’t be as beneficial, you will likely get a great experience assisting with the team’s media guide and planning for the upcoming season. This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Public Relations and Broadcasting with day-to-day duties. The position is unpaid, but may be used for college credit. The internship requires approximately 15 hours a week.

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: -Drafting of press releases regarding appearances, player signings, or other items.
-Assistance with the creation of the 2008-2009 Media Guide, including biographical and statistical work.
-Being present at community appearances and other events.
-Helping create new strategies to open relations with new markets and/or media.
Candidates must have:

-High School Diploma
-Strong verbal and writing skills (an absolute must)
-Ability to multitask
-Strong work ethic
-Basic knowledge of hockey
-Flexible evening hours and availability on weekends
