GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Minnesota Timberwolves are seeking pro-active, energetic college students to train and assist with the various responsibilities of the Community Relations Department and the FastBreak Foundation. Assistant applicants must be able to handle a variety of tasks, and be able to work 20 hours a week during normal business hours for the 2010-2011 season. All applicants must be available for work from October 2010 - April 2011. Please forward your resume to the Timberwolves Human Resources Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preparing and helping to execute area community events
• Representing the FastBreak Foundation during phone calls
• Updating and organizing Tickets for Kids program
• Assisting in day to day operations and Community Relations programs
• Aid in the implementation of game night Community Relations activities and programs
• Assist with the planning and development of Taste of the Timberwolves project to be inclusive of research, development and presentation of findings to Community Relations ManagerQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Previous communications and marketing experience a plus
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to Multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with a diverse population
• Non-profit and volunteerism preferred
• Ability to work nights and weekends
