Tennessee State University secured a major victory this past weekend with the announcement of its new head coach and staff. Former UFL head coach Reggie Barlow has decided to step away from the professional ranks and return to college football, taking the reins of the Tennessee State Tigers. His mission? To build upon the foundation laid by his predecessor and elevate the program to new heights.
In a groundbreaking move, Coach Barlow has brought nearly his entire professional coaching staff to TSU, setting a new standard for HBCU programs. This infusion of pro-level experience, particularly from a young league like the UFL, marks a significant upgrade for the Tigers. One of the most notable hires is defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, a former Super Bowl-winning coach with extensive NFL experience—a massive win for the Tigers in both coaching and recruiting.
With Coach Barlow leading the way, Tennessee State is poised for a new era of excellence. Welcome to the Draft Diamonds family, Coach Barlow and the Tennessee State Tigers! Congratulations on this exciting new chapter.
