A 30-year-old woman who was badly hurt in a crash that killed six other people in downtown Houston died on Monday, according to police.

The major crash happened back in November on Fannin Street in Houston. One of the female victims who had been fighting for her life died this week, but police haven’t released her name. This is the seventh person to die in this crash.

The three former UH football players, D.J. Hayden, Zach McMillian, and Ralph Oragwu died when a black Chrysler 300, driven by 25-year-old Christian Herrera, ran a red light and struck a black Acura SUV. Herrera, along with 32-year-old Lauren Robinson who was driving the Acura, also died in the crash. A third person, 31-year-old Frank Johnson, who was a pedestrian, died after he was struck by the Chrysler which left the roadway.

A 32-year-old man who was also a passenger in the Acura was treated and released. The woman who died Monday was also a passenger in the Acura.

The investigation continues.

Hayden played in the NFL for nine seasons after being selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.
